About Us – Kimberley Anaesthesia Association

Kimberley Anaesthesia Association is an association of Specialist Anaesthesiologists based in Kimberley, Nothern Cape, South Africa. Each associate is an independent practitioner, but we share common goals and aspirations.

Our team consists of 9 full-time associates, that combined have more than 100 years’ experience in specialist anaesthesia, pain management and intensive care. All associates are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and much of our time is spent ensuring that we familiarise and educate ourselves about all new aspects of anaesthetic care by means of attending regular workshops and congresses.

Kimberley Anaesthesia Association provides Anaesthetic services to over 30 Surgeons, Dentists, Physicians, and Psychiatrists and we provide these services at three hospitals and clinics in Kimberley, serving the greater Northern Cape.

SASA

The South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA) is dedicated to the furtherence of the discipline of Anaesthesia at both Academic and Clinical level.

HPCSA

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), together with the 12 Professional Boards under its ambit, is established to provide for control over the education, training and registration for practicing of health professions registered under the Health Professions Act.

SAMA

The South African Medical Association is a non-statutory, professional association for public- and private-sector medical practitioners in South Africa.

SOSPOSA

Society of Sedation Practitioners of South Africa (SOSPOSA) is a member of the International Federation of Dental Anesthesiology Societies (IFDAS) and a special interest group of the South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA).
